Breakfast Topic: Do you have a roleplaying or off-duty outfit?

This Breakfast Topic has been brought to you by Seed, the AOL guest writer program that brings your words to WoW Insider’s pages.

I come from a roleplay server, so the concept of RP outfits is not a new one to me. Whether made of epics, grey items, or a combination of everything in between, making your character unique and stylish is an ongoing project for many players. There are entire websites dedicated to stylish ways of dressing your characters in-game.

I usually have up to three saved outfits per character, if it’s a character I’ve roleplayed with frequently. However, as my server has aged and the roleplay has dwindled, I’ve noticed that even many people who don’t choose to RP will frequently don specific attire when not inside a dungeon. They hang out near the auction houses and banks, often wearing the most intimidating or impressive outfit they can find. Many times it will be an old armor set, like tier 2 or 3, or a particularly challenging bit of gear to collect, like the Warglaives of Azzinoth. It’s always fun to see how players choose to present themselves in-game, whether it be the garb of a demon hunter, gnomish tinker, or in my case, a Stormwind guard.

WoW provides so many options to show different facets of your personality through the clothes and weapons you wear. What’s your outfit of choice?

Breakfast Topic: Does the outfit make the man?

As I walk into the room, I take a look around and I feel out of place. Here I am, standing there with my weapon dripping what looks to be blood and my shoulders trying to bite people who walk by me, while the others in the room are calmly cutting Crystalsong carrots and tenderizing rhino meat. I slide into my cooking set, and I feel much more welcome and much less imposing. With my Salma’s Oven Mitts, Cookie’s Tenderizer and my spiffy Chef’s Hat, I feel like I can step up alongside Katherine Lee and cook to my heart’s content.

When the time calls, what equipment sets do you put on? When you go to Ironforge, do you slap on your Blue Brewfest Hat and chug until you pass out? Are you the type to put down a D.I.S.C.O. ball, equip some Blue Suede Shoes and act like you are John Travolta?
