I think, despite its aesthetic similarities to other games in the genre (principally, World of Warcraft and Fable) it'll be an amazing, unique experience , and could well end up being one of the year's sleeper hits. We got to ask Colin Campbell,

Live: Class balance questions answered by WoW developers

In just a few moments, Blizzard’s second developer Q&A hosted via CoverItLive will begin. Last time around players were invited to ask questions about all things Mists of Pandaria and it really went quite well. This afternoon, in a session timed to fit European players’ schedules, the Q&A will sharpen its focus and discuss class balance and design. The Q&A will be hosted and moderated by Blizzard Entertainment community managers Zarhym and Bashiok with developers Celestalon, Ghostcrawler, Koraa, Watcher, Wradyx, and Xelnath in attendance as panelists.

If you wish to attend the event, the CoverItLive client has been embedded behind the cut below. To participate, you can log into CoverItLive with you Facebook, Twitter, Myspace, or OpenID credentials. If you don’t want to use any of those, you are allowed to sign in as a guest. If you’re unable to attend to event at all, don’t fret: we’ll have a transcript for you right here on WoW Insider once the panel has concluded.

The Queue: Top 10 most-asked questions, plus Yoda

Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Adam Holisky (@adamholisky), senior editor at WoW Insider, will be your host today.

I really like Ice’s first question, mainly because we do get all those questions a lot. But there’s a reason we get them too — there’s a lot of players, even veterans, who don’t follow every single bit of WoW news that comes out. So we’re happy to answer them.

This is also the same reason Blizzard CMs answer them every once in a while, because they’re so widely asked that it’s good to get saturate the community with answers sometimes.

Ice asked:

My top 10 most asked questions

1) When will we get new character models they have been planning?

2) What will happen to valor points and rewards in 4.3 can I buy full Tier 13 on day 1?

3) Why cant pandas be DK because of X and Y?

4) When will beta start?

5) Will we actually kill deathwing or does he turn good?

6) Who will rule the black dragonflight after DW?

7) Any hero class plans? (too early?)

8) How will we know the difference of alliance panda and horde panda in pvp?

9) Who writes the queue next time?

10) Is monk hero class?

11) Bonus 11th most asked question from Drakkenfyre: Do you think Blizzard will ever do “classic” servers? I think I should go ask. I don’t know if anyone’s ever asked that before.

The Queue: Three questions for the dev chat

Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Adam Holisky (@adamholisky), senior editor at WoW Insider, will be your host today.

I was thinking about some questions I’d like the WoW designers to answer today at the dev chat. Here are my three. There’s very little chance they’ll get answered, but I figure it’ll be good to start a discussion and hopefully see some great questions get asked today.

1. Some encounters favor burst damage, while others work fine with damage that takes some time to ramp up. Yet not all DPS specs can produce the best possible burst damage consistently. Do you guys see this as a problem? If so, what kinds of solutions are you working on?

2. Removing auto-attack from monks is a neat idea for melee. If this change ends up working well, is there any thought on removing auto-attack from other melee classes?

3. What are your top three goals for classes and encounters in Mists of Pandaria?

Puntable asked:

Is there a datamined video of Tyrael’s Charger anywhere?

Ask the Devs Round 11 answers your healing questions

Ask the Devs Round 11 focuses on healer and healer-related topics, as Blizzard wraps up this format of questions and answers. Blizzard gave some long and detailed answers for healers this time around, ranging from topics about the nature of the changed healing game in Cataclysm to the choices healers must make in terms of which heal to use in 5-man content versus raid content. The devs also made an interesting remark about a radical new type of healing class that could appear in a later expansion — a radically different type of healer that might bring back players who have become burned out on the role.

As a raider, I think the best answer came for the question about raid healing being hard for healers and why it sometimes feels like damage is unhealable. The devs commented that raids are not meant to be unhealable, and in most circumstances when the fight seems unhealable, players might be taking the wrong approach to the mechanics. Translated: It might not always be the healer’s fault.

Check out all of the questions and answers after the jump.
