Wowcrendor is revisiting the intrepid Boar Thrills with Orc vs Wild: Tanaris. In this episode, Boar finds himself stranded in the desert of Tanaris. He must use every one of his elite survival skills to stay alive, including ancient techniques learned from the ancient trolls of Zul’Farrak.
The Boar Thrills series is pretty fun, even if you’re not familiar with the original material. I can’t help but wonder if Boar won’t eventually encounter Billy and the Go Guy.

The latest build of the Cataclysm beta has finally added the animation for the worgen racial ability Running Wild, the mount-replacement skill that lets them drop to all fours and run at increased speed. You can see it in the video above. Note that beta servers are still down, so we can’t get a good video of it in the wild quite yet.
So far, I’m impressed — can you imagine 20 or 30 of these guys running at you in Warsong Gulch?
World of Warcraft: Cataclysm will destroy Azeroth as we know it; nothing will be the same! In WoW Insider’s Guide to Cataclysm, you can find out everything you need to know about WoW’s third expansion (available Dec. 7, 2010), from brand new races to revamped quests and zones. Wowcrendor continues to deliver the suspense by watching Boar Thrills try and keep his morale up in Orc vs. Wild: Hillsbrad. This series has definite potential for after Cataclysm releases, as I’d be thrilled to see Boar struggle to survive in Deathwing’s destruction paradise.
I was a little confused by the morale system at first, since I was trying to find a similar system in World of Warcraft. I guess there was the old pet loyalty system for hunters, but that didn’t seem to be what Wowcrendor was going for here. Still, once I stopped trying to fight that similarity, I was totally able to rock out and love the video. And really, when there’s a murloc involved, how can you not have fun?

On this lovely Labor Day, you may be enjoying a rocking barbeque with friends. But not our orc hero Boar Thrills. He’s stranded in Winterspring and is forced to struggle for survival. In Orc vs. Wild: Winterspring, Wowcrendor executes a stunning send-up of both Man vs. Wild and a good half-dozen WoW memes.
This is, of course, the second Orc vs. Wild video. I’m curious to see how you feel about these videos. Wowcrendor has always been a fan favorite, and I think he’s found a great voice and outlet as Boar Thrills. This series could turn into something as epic as his How to videos, especially if he keeps expanding his options through the world.

When you move on to the new zones in Cataclysm, will you miss Northrend? Will it be a pleasure to quest there, or, like Outland, will it just be one more roadblock between you and your sixth level 85 alt? Even if you choose to blaze through your 70s, take a moment to stop and watch the scenery. It may surprise you. (Thanks to Kiruvi of <Dogs of War> on Terokkar (US-H) for the screenshot!)

Hey guys! I’m totally not Michael Gray. He’s sick or something. To be honest, I didn’t ask. The weird growths were enough for me to stand far, far away. That means you get the Mat Attack for some serious Moviewatch business!
Wowcrendor is at it again with a TV parody in Orc vs. Wild, a fun knockoff of Bear Grylls’ (here Boar Thrills) infamous Man vs. Wild. If you aren’t familiar with the show, adventurer and survival expert Bear Grylls drops himself off in remote, dangerous locations and attempts to survive. Also, there is always some stupid shelter he builds. Every. Time. Spoiler alert: he’s usually okay.
I enjoyed this Wowcrendor parody mostly because of the terrible memories it brought back about Stranglethorn for me. Grom’gol feels like an Orc vs. Wild situation for any adventurer — dropped off into the middle of the zone, one way out, no holds barred. British accents be damned, anything that makes fun of Bear Grylls is good in my book. I greatly enjoyed the directions in general chat, as well as the advice for not getting ganked. Take this advice to heart, little ones. Running into the trees may very well save you from really lazy gankers. I speak from experience.
My first Wowcrendor video was his Are WoW graphics bad? foray into showing some of the beautiful places of Azeroth past. He’s definitely got range. Let’s just work on the British accent, yes? Good show!
